Where tagged photos live on Instagram

Tagged photos are not mixed with the owner's own posts. They sit in a separate tab on the profile, marked with a small person icon. Only posts from public accounts that tagged the profile appear there.

People tag friends after trips, dinners and events, so the tagged tab often holds photos the owner never posted themselves.

Photos vs. tagged videos and carousels

Tagged content can be single photos, carousels or videos. InstaSPY shows the first image of each carousel as a preview and plays tagged videos directly in the viewer.

Captions are kept, so you can read the description the publisher wrote alongside the photo.

Respect people's privacy

Tagged photos are public because the publisher chose to share them. Use the viewer for curiosity, research or reconnecting with friends, and never to harass or pressure anyone.

If you want your own profile removed from InstaSPY pages, you can submit a removal request at any time.

Find tagged photos in four steps

  1. Get the person's username (the handle after the @).
  2. Search it in the box at the top of this page.
  3. Look through the Tagged tab of the profile.
  4. Tap a photo to see it full size with its caption and publisher.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some tagged photos missing?

The owner may have hidden or removed tags, or the photos were posted by private accounts.

Does the account get notified?

No. Tagged posts are loaded without an Instagram user, so nobody is notified and no name appears anywhere.

Does it work for private accounts?

No. Tagged posts of private accounts are only shared with approved followers, so InstaSPY does not show them.

Do I need an Instagram account?

No. Everything runs in your browser and you never enter an Instagram password.
