What is an Instagram follow tracker?

An Instagram follow tracker is a tool that watches a single Instagram account and tells you when it starts following new accounts. Instagram itself has no such feature: there is no history, no timestamp and no notification. If you want to know that someone followed a new account on Tuesday night, you have to open the app, open their profile and try to remember what it looked like the last time you checked. A follow tracker does that comparison for you and keeps a record, so a change that would normally go completely unnoticed becomes a single, timestamped alert.
